The Corvette offers impressive performance from its V8. The ride is relatively comfortable and handling is capable. In 2008 Chevrolet made improvements to the steering, added power to the base V8 engine, equipped the automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and improved interior quality. The interior is roomy for a sports car, though some found seat support lacking. The Z06 is a bargain super car, with a potent 505-hp V8 engine. It is available only as a coupe with a six-speed manual transmission. A supercharged ZR1 with more than 600 hp will be available in limited numbers. Reliability remains well below average.
