    Chrysler Pacifica

    Latest Model

    2017 Model Redesign Year
The Pacifica minivan is offered in seven- and eight-passenger configurations, and its fold-into-the-floor second-row seats make it easy to carry big, bulky items. The 3.6-liter V6, paired with a nine-speed automatic, provides plenty of power and gets 21 mpg overall yet also gives the Pacifica quick acceleration. Both front- and all-wheel drive are available. Handling is secure, with the big van responding like a sedan when the road gets twisty. The suspension delivers a comfortable, composed ride, and the cabin is quiet. A 10.1-inch center screen is standard with the updated Uconnect infotainment system.
There are plenty of clever places to store cargo, and folding both rows into the floor creates a massive load space. The only downside is the fold-into-the-floor second-row seats aren't as comfortable as the captain's chairs in other minivans.

    2017-Present

    2017 Model Redesign Year
The Pacifica is the name chosen for the Town & Country minivan replacement. The new van is much better than the Town & Country and offered in seven- and eight-passenger configurations and retains the handy fold-into-the-floor second-row seats. But these seats have limited thigh support. The 3.6-liter V6, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, provides ample power and gets an impressive 21 mpg overall. Handling is responsive, the ride is comfortable, and the cabin is quiet. A plug-in hybrid version is available with a claimed electric range of 30 miles.
High-end versions of the Pacifica feature individual screens, with built-in games, for the rear passengers. Updates for 2021 include standard automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, next-generation Uconnect infotainment system, a higher-end Pinnacle trim level, and the availability of all-wheel drive. Updates for 2025 include the latest version of the UConnect touch-screen system with intuitive climate controls but a more confusing center screen.

    2004-2008

    2004 Model Redesign Year
The wagon-like Pacifica has a comfortable ride and fairly nimble handling. Power comes from a coarse-sounding and fuel-thirsty 3.5-liter V6 that provides only adequate acceleration. The optional all-wheel-drive system works well for winter driving. The driving position is higher than in most sedans and lower than most SUVs', but a high beltline compromises the feeling of spaciousness and visibility. The interior seats six in three rows. The second row seats just two, so when the third row is folded, this is a four-seat vehicle.
A five-passenger version arrived for 2005. The Pacifica received a 4.0-liter V6 for 2007. Chrysler discontinued the Pacifica SUV after the 2008 model.
