Comment:
The are really comfortable and sound great. But my pair broke in less that 1 1/2 years; the left side stopped working. And Bose wants $100+ to fix it.

Comment:
I've had the Bose noise canceling headphones for many years. That is what I want to comment on especially. Yes they are great phones and make traveling much more relaxing. But, as a previous reviewer noted, the company is also an important consideration. After many years of using my previous headphones, I decided to replace them. Turns out that Bose will upgrade previous owners at a very substantial discount. They were as pleasant and helpful as could be. I could not be more pleased with the interactions.

Comment:
I got these headphones in December 2012, since my job requires me to travel, and the noises on airplanes really disturbs me. When I got it home and started listening to music with it, I was amazed how good the music sounded with the noise reduction on; the clarity and depth was amazing. Since then I've used it everywhere, traveling, while at the gym, and on my home computer. About a month ago, one of the earpieces started getting static, and the sound would go off and on. This has happened to me with cheaper headphones (and earbuds) in the past, but these are too expensive to just throw away because of a shorted wire. I resigned myself to buying another, cheaper pair of headphones, but I called the company, hoping that they could repair them for under fifty dollars. When I talked to the customer service rep, he walked me through the troubleshooting steps to no avail. When he looked up the product serial number, he said that the warranty is for 12 months, but since it is so close to the warranty expiration, he would just honor the original warranty and replace the headphones for free. I paid $8 for shipping, and everything else was taken care of, and received a brand new set of headphones (with a new 12 month warranty) within 10 days of sending it out. This service has made the initial expense worth it, since I thought I would have to re-purchase the headphones or settle for lesser quality.
