About This Brand
Now in its fifth generation, the iPad Air uses Apple iOS, noteable for its intuitive interface and excellent app store. A 7.9-inch version, the iPad Mini, closely mimics the larger model. Apple has retained earlier, less expensive versions—the iPad and iPad Mini with Retina display. Models are also available with 4G service.
There are many things to like about the iPad Air:
Great display
Great battery life
Apps that work better than on an Android tablet

I don't think that Retina display tablets should even be sold with only 16 gig as standard. Have far fewer apps and photos on the iPad Air than on my Nexus 7 (2012) and yet the Nexus 7 has three times the storage left. I am at the point of having to start deleting things.

Considering what memory sells for in the computer world, charging $100 more for the 32 gig unit is ridiculous.

Would not recommend the 16 gig unit to anyone.

Note: This is my first Apple product.

iPad Air is becoming my only computer
The Retina Display makes streaming video very sharp, but it also makes reading ebooks easy because characters are very well defined. I'm exploring ways that I may be able to use the iPad Air as my only computer and I've owned a laptop for 25 years. Apple has provided its versions of Word (Pages), Excel (Numbers) and Powerpoint (Keynote) for free and these will support my use of the iPad as my only computing device.
