Comment:
This is the first time that Consumer Reports gave me bad advise. This was highly rated (an 80 in May 2012. Well, for about a month, it was pretty good. Then one little thing after another rusting out, not working, drip tray perforating with rust, collapsing burner assembly, even the $40 matching cover crumbled within the first year. The thermometer that came with it was the first thing to fail. I bought a new temperature gauge (about $20) from Sears Parts Online, it worked for ONE (1), yes ONE grilling. Lastest thing was that due to the burner brackets rusting away, the entire burner assembly dropped onto the drip tray and that collapsed the paper thin drip tray. In short, this grill is just a piece of junk, truly disappointed, and I'm sorry to those who commented back in 2012 on the C.R. site and tried to warn me not to buy it, I trusted Consumer Reports (actually, I still do) they just let me down this time. Not sure what I will replace the grill with, but I'll be a little, no, a lot, more careful this time.

Comment:
I purchased a top of line kenmore grill exactly 5 years ago with a five year warranty wich at that time the warranty costing $100.00 I don't regret buying their because they have been to my house at least times to fix certain problems. BUT their repair dept. has a lot of things that need fixing . EXAMPLE the regulator broke , repair man came 10 days after my first call . We both agreed it was regulator , he said he had the part had to be ordered and he would be back in two weeks . I told him to go to menards and buy one there. . he said he could not do that. So I was without this grill for 33 days in the middle of summer. I see why Sears is having a difficult time making it. As for as Kenmore grills I would step and buy a Weber at my local hardware store . Also with with one year left on grill I called them and told reporte the porcilen was coming of the grates , they informed me that was not part of warranty , I told them this warranty was bumper to bumper. She said no and I just hung, now I can't wait for this grill to break and give me an excuse to go buy another and for sure it won't be a kenmore.
