Mazda CX-5 Overview
For the 2016 model year Mazda has updated its mainstay small SUV, freshening it inside and out. The updated CX-5 gets a more upright and pronounced grille and other visual tweaks, bringing it in line with the new Mazda3, as well as the updated Mazda6. Where the exterior was lightly updated, the interior received a new center stack that gives it a far more upscale aesthetic. The push-button center navigation screen has been replaced by a remote-operated digital display. A dial located near the cup holders, like in the Mazda3, controls it. The engine and transmission remain the same, but the new drive mode selector allows the driver to choose from economical and performance-oriented driving modes.
