The Xbox One is now available in a bundled package with Titanfall, the most eagerly anticipated game for the console so far—and the retailers Walmart and Best Buy recently cut the price of the bundle to $450, from $500. Other retailers are jumping onboard with the price cut too, as you can now snag the bundle from Target and the Microsoft Store. Since Titanfall alone costs $60, in effect the Xbox One price drops to $390.
Xbox One's main competitor, the PlayStation 4, costs $400 but doesn't come with a game bundled or a camera (the Xbox One comes with the Kinect camera). Buying a game along with the PS4 would bring the cost up to $460. If you wanted to add the PS4's camera, that adds another $60, bringing the total price up to $520. Doing the math shows that the Xbox One Titanfall bundle is actually a better value than PlayStation 4.
Not all retailers are currently offering the bundle at the discounted price, so this isn't an official price drop and it may be for a limited time only. If you've been waiting for the opportunity to grab an Xbox One but the price has held you back, you might want to act quickly.
