Yogurt is a fermented milk product produced by bacterial fermentation of milk. The bacteria used to make yogurt are known as "yogurt cultures." Greek yogurt is all the rage, and it’s no wonder: Because the product is strained to remove excess whey (the liquid that remains after milk has been curdled), it’s thicker and creamier than regular yogurt and boasts nearly twice as much protein. If you're looking for information about yogurt or Greek yogurt, Consumer Reports is your best resource. Consumer Reports’ yogurt reviews will give you honest buying advice that you can trust. Use our yogurt buying guide to discover which fruits, textures, and other characteristics are most important to consider. We also provide unbiased yogurt ratings, yogurt reviews, Greek yogurt ratings, and Greek yogurt reviews to help you choose the best yogurt for your needs.
