Design and features:Although they lack active noise reduction, the earplug-like design of this portable ear-insert model helps to reduce both outside noise and sound leaking out into your environment. The earphones have very high sensitivity, so they can provide satisfying volume levels when used with home audio equipment and even lower-powered portable audio devices. This model comes with three pairs of ear pieces of various sizes and a carrying pouch.
Sound quality: We found the Jammin' Smile Jamaica (No Mic) delivers good overall sound with a warm character. The pronounced boomy bass has good impact, but is very muddy and lacks definition. Midrange is muffled, treble is very recessed, and upper treble extension is lacking due to an upper-upper treble roll off. Overall, it's very closed in sounding with compressed dynamics.
Comfort: We found that these earphones fit and stay in place with no problems, but a sense of pressure in the ear opening might be uncomfortable for some. The left and right earpiece markings are hard to see, and nothing in the design promotes proper placement.
