YOUR ENTRY IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES MEANS THESE OFFICIAL RULES FORM A BINDING LEGAL CONTRACT, SO READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE PARTICIPATING. WITHOUT LIMITATION, THIS CONTRACT PROVIDES FOR YOUR INDEMNIFICATION OF THE SPONSOR AND OTHER PARTIES AND THE WAIVER OF THE RIGHTS TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.

ELIGIBILITY: The “Winter QQ 90^th Anniversary Cap” Sweepstakes (the ”Sweepstakes”) is open only to individuals who are legal residents of one of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, are age 18 or older and the age of majority in their state of legal residence at time of entry (each, an “Entrant”). Employees and Board members of Consumer Reports, Inc. (“Sponsor”), its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and production agencies, Ventura Associates Intl LLC (“Administrator”) and any other individual or company involved in the development or execution of the Sweepstakes (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”) and their immediate families are not eligible to enter or win. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Participation constitutes Entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Winning a prize is contingent upon selected Entrant fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. Void where prohibited by law.

SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY PERIOD: Sweepstakes entry period begins at 12:00:01 AM ET on January 24, 2026, and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on March 4, 2026 (“Sweepstakes Entry Period”). Entries received outside the Sweepstakes Entry Period will be void. Administrator is the official timekeeper for this Sweepstakes.

HOW TO ENTER: During the Sweepstakes Entry Period, to receive one (1) entry in the Sweepstakes, (a) click on the “survey” link located in the email you receive from Sponsor. You will be redirected to the survey landing page; (b) complete the survey screener; (c) answer required survey questions truthfully and accurately; and (d) follow the prompts to submit such survey responses (collectively your “Entry”). Entries are limited to one per email address.  Normal Internet access and data usage charges imposed by your online and cell phone service provider may apply. Entries attempted by using robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed, or similar methods will be void. Entries will not be received or held “in confidence” and a submission does not create a confidential relationship or obligation of secrecy between you and the Sponsor or any of its affiliates. Each survey response should be honest and truthful.  Sponsor is not responsible for Entries that are late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, illegible, stolen, garbled, undelivered, delayed, or any combination thereof. All Entries, requests and/or materials submitted will not be returned or acknowledged.

In the event of a dispute as to the ownership of any Entry, the authorized account holder of the email account used in connection with the Entry will be deemed to be the Entrant.  The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.  Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized email account holder in order to be awarded the prize.  

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ENTRIES: Limit one (1) Entry per email address per person during the Sweepstakes Entry Period.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF SWEEPSTAKES WINNER(S): On or about March 11, 2026, Administrator will select fifty (50) potential winners (each a “Potential Winner”) in a random drawing from all valid Entries received during the Sweepstakes Entry Period. Administrator is an independent judging organization whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Winners need not be present to win. Potential Winners will be notified by email to the email address associated with the Entrant’s account with Sponsor that Entrant used to enter the Sweepstakes, so any Entrant must ensure that Entrant’s account is up-to-date and includes a valid email address. Failure by potential winner(s) to respond to the initial verification within seventy-two  (72) hours of notification may result in disqualification, and Administrator may, at its discretion, select an alternate Potential Winner(s) from all remaining valid entries received.  Failure to provide a valid and current email address may result in a Potential Winner’s forfeiture of the prize.  Additionally, Sponsor is not responsible for electronic communications that are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind, insufficient space in the Entrant’s email account, or any other failure.  Any prize notification letter or prize returned as undeliverable will automatically disqualify the person as a winner.  Verified winners will be solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes on Prizes.

POTENTIAL WINNER’S ELIGIBILITY IS SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY ADMINISTRATOR, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE SWEEPSTAKES. Administrator will contact each Potential Winner  via email, and such Potential Winner(s) may be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Release which must be signed and returned by Potential Winner (or Potential Winner’s parent or legal guardian if Potential Winner is an eligible minor as defined by state law in Alabama and Nebraska) by the deadline specified on notification. At the sole discretion of the Sponsor and/or Administrator, disqualification, forfeiture and the selection of an alternate Potential Winner may result from any of the following: [1] Potential Winner’s failure to complete any required paperwork needed to verify his/her/their eligibility within the time allocated on notification; [2] Potential Winner’s failure to validly claim the prize by deadline date and time; [3] Potential Winner cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason; and/or [4] any other non-compliance with the Official Rules. Each prize will be awarded upon Potential Winner verification, at which point a Potential Winner will be deemed a “Verified Winner.” In the event an alternate Potential Winner needs to be selected, as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion, the corresponding prize will be awarded in a separate random drawing from all non-winning eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Entry Period. Except where prohibited by law, participating in the Sweepstakes and acceptance of a prize constitute permission for Sponsor and its agents to use each winner’s name, prize won, hometown, likeness, video, photographs, comments and statements and other personally identifiable information for online posting and promotional, advertising and marketing purposes without further compensation or notice.  Sponsor reserves the right to modify the notification and Affidavit procedures in connection with the selection of alternate Potential Winner, if any.

PRIZE DETAILS AND ODDS: 

There are fifty (50) Prizes available in the Sweepstakes. Each Prize is a Consumer Reports 90^th Anniversary Branded Cap (each a “Prize”). The total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each Prize is $13.50. The total ARV of all Prizes available in the Sweepstakes is $675.

You have not yet won.  No purchase is necessary to enter or win.  Limit: one (1) prize per household. No substitution or transfer of any prize (or any portion of prize) by winner to a third party is permitted. All federal, state, local taxes or other expenses relating to the use, acceptance and possession of any prize are the sole responsibility of each winner (as applicable). Odds of winning a prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received throughout the Sweepstakes Entry Period. Sponsor is not responsible for any changes to an Entrant’s email address and/or mailing address, nor is Sponsor responsible for any lost or damaged mail. All non-stated features of the Prizes are in Sponsor’s discretion and subject to availability.

DISCLAIMER.  Each prize winner agrees that, subject to applicable law, any prize is provided “as-is” without warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, of any kind, including without limitation any: (i) warranty of merchantability; (ii) warranty of fitness for a particular purpose; (iii) warranty of title; or (iv) warranty against infringement of intellectual property rights of a third party, whether express or implied by law, course of dealing, course of performance, usage or trade, or otherwise.

GENERAL: Entrant’s Entry shall comply with Sponsor’s terms of service/use and privacy policy. Sponsor may reject any Entry in its sole discretion if the Entry in whole or in part: (a) contains material which is (or promotes activities which are) sexually explicit, obscene, pornographic, violent, self-mutilation, discriminatory (based on race, sex, religion, natural origin, physical disability, sexual orientation or age), illegal (e.g., underage drinking, substance abuse, computer hacking, etc.), offensive, threatening, profane, or harassing, or likely to incite violence; (b) contains content which would be derogatory, insulting, and/or portrays Sponsor or any person or entity negatively; (c) includes personally identifiable information of any person other than Entrant, and should the Entrant include personally identifiable information about him/herself/themselves in his/her/their Entry, Entrant acknowledges and agrees that such information may be disclosed publicly and Entrant is solely responsible for any consequences thereof; (d) contains material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, including copyright infringement; and/or (e) is otherwise deemed to be inappropriate or demeaning in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

By participating, Entrants agree (a) to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules, (b) that the decisions of the Administrator and, where applicable the Sponsor, will be final and binding, and (c) on behalf of their respective heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, successors and assigns, (“Releasing Parties”), release, defend and hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities, as well as the employees, officers, directors and agents of each (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from any and all actions, causes of action, suits, debts, expenses, lost profits, indirect or direct damages, consequential, incidental, punitive or exemplary damages, judgments, claims and demands whatsoever, against any and all Released Parties which arise out of or result from Entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance and use or misuse of any prize. 

The Released Parties are not responsible for: (a) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Entrant, or programming associated with or used in the Sweepstakes; (b) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (c) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (d) technical or human error, which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (e) any injury or damage to persons or property, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from Entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any Prize; or (f) entries, prize claims or notifications that are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, damaged or otherwise not received by the intended recipient, in whole or in part, due to computer, human or technical error of any kind, including but not limited to, by reason of unauthorized human intervention, spam filters, privacy settings, inactive email accounts or an entrant’s failure to monitor its email account. If for any reason an Entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, Entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Sweepstakes. No more than the stated number of Prizes will be awarded.  If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes cannot be executed as planned, including, but not limited to, any governmental order, epidemic, pandemic, force majeure, social media mandate, printing, administrative or other error of any kind, transmission failure, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, or if the Sweepstakes is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes and, if terminated before the original end date, to select the winners from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the date/time of termination.

Entrants understand and agree that all rights under Section 1542 of the Civil Code of California and any similar law of any state or territory of the United States that may be applicable with respect to the foregoing release are hereby expressly and forever waived. Entrants acknowledge that Section 1542 provides that: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.” Entrant acknowledges that the releases herein are intended to apply to all claims not known or suspected to exist with the intent of waiving the effect of such laws to preserve future unknown claims.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify or terminate the Sweepstakes and/or select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to termination (a) if the Sweepstakes becomes technically corrupted (including if a computer virus or system malfunction impairs Sponsor’s ability to conduct the Sweepstakes), (b) in the event of a technical and/or processing error; or (c) in the event Sponsor is prevented from continuing with the Sweepstakes as contemplated herein by any event beyond its control, including but not limited to fire, flood, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war or any federal, state, or local government law, order, or regulation, epidemic, pandemic, or order of any court or any other cause not within Sponsor’s control or concerns regarding the safety of any winner.  Sponsor reserves the right to permanently disqualify from the Sweepstakes any person it believes has violated these Official Rules and select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to termination.  Entrants assume all liability for any injury, including death or damage caused or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Sweepstakes or use or redemption of any prize. 

GOVERNING LAW: These Official Rules and any disputes between us shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of New York or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of New York.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER: Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, each Entrant agrees as follows: 

Any disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Sweepstakes will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. Any action or litigation concerning this Sweepstakes shall take place exclusively in the federal or state courts sitting in New York, NY, and each Entrant expressly consents to the jurisdiction of and venue in such courts and waives all defenses of lack of jurisdiction and inconvenient forum with respect to such courts. Each Entrant agrees to service of process by mail or other method acceptable under the laws of the State of New York.

One-Year Time Limit to Raise Disputes or Claims. You agree that any dispute, claim or lawsuit, regardless of form, that may arise out of or related to the Sweepstakes, must be filed within ONE (1) YEAR of the action, omission, event or occurrence giving rise to the dispute, claim(s) or lawsuit. After the expiration of the one-year period, such dispute, claim(s) or lawsuit will be time-barred and prohibited, without regard to any longer period of time which may be provided by any period of limitation or pursuant to law or statute.

Class Action Waiver. To fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you and we agree to bring any claim or dispute ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS ONLY, AND NOT AS A CLASS ACTION OR COLLECTIVE ACTION. There shall be no right or authority for any claim or dispute to be brought, heard or arbitrated as a class or collective action ("Class Action Waiver"). Any proceeding will decide the rights and liabilities, if any, of you and us.  The proceeding will not be consolidated with any other matters or joined with any other cases or parties. The court may award any remedy to which a party is entitled under applicable law, but remedies shall be limited to those that would be available to a party in their individual capacity. The interpretation, applicability, enforceability or formation of the Class Action Waiver may only be determined by a court. This Class-Action Waiver will survive the termination of your relationship with us.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of any prize. Entry materials/ and/or data that have been tampered with or altered are void. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged or illegible entries or the failure of any third party to comply with the instructions and proper administration of this Sweepstakes. 

BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANT AGREES THAT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (1) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES, OR ANY PRIZE(S) AWARDED WILL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL, OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED (IF ANY) NOT TO EXCEED TEN DOLLARS ($10.00), BUT IN NO EVENT WILL ATTORNEYS’ FEES BE AWARDED OR RECOVERABLE; AND (2) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY ENTRANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ANY AWARD FOR, AND ENTRANT HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO SEEK, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS AND/OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES AND/OR ANY RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE FOREGOING LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

SEVERABILITY: In the event any provision of these Official Rules is determined to be void or unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the remainder of these terms, which shall continue to be in force.
