Lauren is an investigative reporter on CR’s special projects team, covering product safety. Some of her previous investigations have revealed the risks posed by dangerous toys and other children’s products, exposed toxins and contaminants in food, and reported on threats to safe drinking water.
Experience and Education
Before joining CR in 2022, Lauren reported on algorithmic bias, criminal justice, and housing for The Markup and ProPublica. She has been a finalist for a National Magazine Award and the Pulitzer Prize. She studied philosophy at Wesleyan University and holds a master's degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
