Under Armour Infinity Mid Sports Bra Review

It's comfortable. It's supportive. And it will fill up with lint like a dryer lint trap.

This sports bra is a perfectly acceptable purchase, but your mileage may vary. I liked—but did not love—it. It has an impressive set of features that make it a good purchase for the price, but a few marks against it that keep it from being at the top of the pile.

This bra is 87 percent polyester and 13 percent elastane, so it’s a bit more stretchy than is advisable in a combination-style bra (super-stretchy bras can be less supportive than bras that have less stretch). It might stretch out with time, and it will take more of a beating in the wash than other bras.

It has fully adjustable convertible straps that can be configured into a racerback or a tank style. And it has one more set of hooks than many sports bras we evaluated, with four sets of triple hooks. Even still, I had to wear my medium-sized bra on the tightest hook to fit my 30 band size, and considering its high amount of stretch, I was concerned I’d be replacing this bra sooner rather than later.

The look is hit or miss, too. I loved the neon green colorway I ordered, but another evaluator, a 36D who bought it in black, “was not a fan of the look” (her emphasis). I found another flaw in the bra’s appearance: Somehow, lint from my black T-shirt managed to work its way beneath the mesh on the exterior of the bra, and there’s no way to get it out. I hand-washed; the lint is still stuck. Now the cute neon green color is marred by a piece of black lint right on the front of the cup, and it’s odd. Possibly, if I pop it in the washing machine (just the once!), it’ll work its way out--but as of right now, I’m glad I do my workouts at home.

Still, it had pretty good support, and none of the other evaluators expressed any comfort problems during their workouts. It looks good beneath clothes, too, with enough separation to avoid a uni-boob look, if that’s something that bothers you. Maybe just wear it with a shirt that’s a similar color, so any errant lint that worms its way into the mesh won’t be too obvious.
