Empower Brands Recalls More Than 300,000 Air Fryers Due to Burn Hazard
A plastic connector that joins the fryer's two baskets can break and cause burns
Empower Brands has recalled more than 300,000 air fryers because of a problem with a U-Channel connector that combines the two fry baskets found in these dual-basket models. The connector can break as you’re using it and pose a burn hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall notice, there have been 41 reports of the air fryer breaking during use, and three reports of burns. Two of the company’s dual-basket PowerXL air fryer models are involved in the recall.
