Electrolux is recalling more than 174,000 gas ranges sold under the Frigidaire name. The appliances can experience delayed ignition of the oven’s bake burner, which poses a burn risk to users, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The CPSC and the manufacturer have received 62 reports of Frigidaire ranges malfunctioning, and 30 of those incidents have resulted in burn injuries. Consumers should not use the oven in their ranges until Frigidaire completes a free in-home repair.

The models being recalled were made by the Electrolux Group under the Frigidaire brand name and sold at big-box hardware stores, including Home Depot and Lowe’s, between June 2025 and January 2026. All nine of the Frigidaire gas ranges listed in CR’s ratings are part of the recall. None are currently recommended.

Frigidaire has set up a telephone hotline and an online claims center to help consumers determine whether their models are involved in the recall. The company will provide customers with a free professional in-home installation of the bake burner unit. It’s okay to use the burners on top of the range while waiting for an oven repair.
