Frigidaire Side-by-Side Refrigerators With Unsafe Ice Buckets Are Recalled for Choking and Laceration Hazards
Pieces of the broken bucket assembly can end up in your ice
More than 380,000 side-by-side Frigidaire refrigerators have been recalled by Electrolux, which owns the brand, because a component of the ice bucket assembly can break and drop plastic pieces into the ice bucket.
The small pieces pose choking and laceration hazards. The company has received 343 reports of plastic pieces breaking off, including two incidents that resulted in laceration and ingestion injuries, according to the recall notice issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
