The random moving Bissell CleanView turned out a subpar performance. Its weak suction was unable to suck up embedded flour from test carpets. The side brushes were not strong and didn't always make contact with the walls so the vac was unable to get close enough to edges to clean them. Its round shape is also not ideal for corner cleaning. It was able to pick up most of the pet hair but most of the hair stuck to the brushroll and testers didn't find cleaning the brushroll easy. One positive is that it didn't scatter debris in testing. The bot easily traveled over electrical cords that had some slack and was able to climb a .5 inch threshold. It traveled over a square of matte black carpet in the lab.
