    Detailed Test Results

This quiet bot from Shark aced navigating and cleaning our bare floors in a random pattern. It detected furniture and other obstacles quickly and avoided most contact. The only time it made contact with walls and furniture was when it was in perimeter mode and trying to navigate the outer edge of the room. The suction doesn't seem strong. A lot of hair was caught in the spin brushes as well as brushroll but the comb near the bin opening and extra bristles on the cage helped keep the brushroll from getting too tangled with hair. The vacuum comes with a hair removal tool to help with the process. The vac avoided getting caught on the tassels of our rug and it maneuvered over power cords and thresholds without much trouble. Its slim design allowed it to pass under our furniture. It does not have a remote, you must use an app to control it remotely however, you can use the bot without the app. The side brushes scattered debris around until it was eventually picked up. It navigated over the dark carpet in the lab. Features: Modes: Auto clean, spot mode. App: SharkClean version 2.5.1 also allows you to schedule cleaning times as well as operate the bot remotely. Battery: Li-Ion (14.8V, 2600 mAh) Includes: Docking station, cord, hair removal tool, Botboundary strip, BotBoundary connectors. 1 year warranty unit (power pack not included).

    About

The Shark Ion 750 Connected is part of the Vacuum Cleaners test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, Robotic Vacuums models like the Ion 750 Connected are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Carpet: A high score means the vacuum effectively removes surface debris and embedded dust from medium-pile carpet. A top-scoring model picks up more debris from carpet per run.

Bare floors: A high score means the vacuum effectively removes surface debris like sand from smooth hard floors. A top-scoring model picks up more debris from non-carpeted flooring per run.

Navigation: A composite score that includes combined coverage over multiple runs, clearance under furniture and obstacle and entrapment avoidance.
