About

This Sanden water heater requires 240 volt service and it comes in two separate prices, rather than with the unitary design of the other tanks. Its heat exchange unit can be placed up to 50 feet away from the tank, either outdoors or in another part of your home. It circulates water between the tank and the heat exchanger, so special precautions need to be taken during power outages occurring in freezing weather. It lacks electric-resistance heating elements, so it always operates in heat-pump mode. It also lacks an adjustable temperature set-point, so it should be installed with a blending valve.
