Graco Recalls All SnugRide Turn & Slide Rotating Infant Car Seats
A structural issue was identified after production. Graco will send owners a replacement car seat.
Graco has announced a voluntary recall of their first rotating infant car seat, the SnugRide Turn & Slide. In a statement, the company says it identified a structural issue with the car seat during post-production testing. Graco will provide a similar replacement infant or convertible car seat to families who own the recalled Turn & Slide, but in the meantime, the company says it’s safe to use the car seat without the Turn & Slide base, installing it with the vehicle seat belt only.
The SnugRide Turn & Slide Rotating Infant Car Seat launched in January 2026, and is Graco’s first-ever rotating infant car seat. All Turn & Slide car seats sold between January and March 2026 have been recalled. They were sold for about $350 on Amazon, Babylist, Target, Walmart, and Graco’s own site.
CR reached out to Graco to confirm the number of car seats recalled and whether the company has notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which typically announces child car seat recalls, as well as for more details on the structural issue identified. We did not hear back in time for publication.

The problem: The company identified a structural issue with the Turn & Slide rotating infant car seat in a post-production laboratory test, and is recalling all models sold between January 2026 and March 2026 with the above-listed model numbers. The car seat itself is safe to use without the base when installed with the seat belt, or when used with the Graco Modes Nest stroller as part of a travel system.
The fix: The company says it will send owners a free replacement car seat, and that the car seat is safe to use and install without the base, following the car seat manual’s instructions, while you await your replacement product. After submitting a photo of your car seat base’s model number, you can select from one of four replacement models, including two non-rotating infant car seats and two rotating convertible car seats.
If you own a recalled model, stop using the car seat with the base. “The current seat may continue to be used without the base in accordance with the product instructions while you wait for your selected replacement product,” Graco says.
To locate the model number on the base, remove the seat from the base and find the white label sticker, which should show the model number, date of manufacture, and serial number. Fill out the registration form on recalls.gracobaby.com, and upload a clear photo showing the model number, date, and serial number, and select your preferred replacement car seat.
