Target Recalls 2 Types of Up&Up Baby Wipes Due to Microbial Contamination That Could Cause Illness
After complaints from consumers about the wipes, FDA testing found bacteria that could cause serious infection in infants and young children
Check your stash of baby wipes: Target has recalled Up&Up Fragrance Free and Up & Up Fresh Cucumber wipes after Food and Drug Administration testing identified the presence of two forms of harmful bacteria in product samples. The bacteria, Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli, “may result in serious and life-threatening infections,” according to the FDA. If you have these wipes, do not use them.
