A 2015 Audi A8 that's included in the Audi recall.

Audi is recalling nearly 9,000 of its 2013-2016 A8 and S8 sedans because a fuel line could become porous over time and lead to a fuel leak. That kind of leak near an ignition source creates the risk of a fire, Audi said.

The recall is related to an earlier campaign that replaced the fuel lines on these same models. Further investigation and testing revealed that another fix was necessary, the automaker said.

Owners who notice a fuel smell should take their car to the dealer "without delay," Audi said.
