Anonymous A., MD (2021 Audi A5 2.0T 2.0-L 4 Cyl turbo)"Premature failure of the power windows for my Audi A5 Sportback July 28, 2025. I have a 2021 Audi A5 which suddenly developed a power window problem with the left rear (drivers side) window. I had lowered all the windows to allow some airflow into the car; and when I tried to raise the left rear window, it started to act erratically - initially going down, then up, then down, then slowly up again; and then began to slow down and make a grinding sound before coming to a stop while still not being completely closed up. This was repeated several times before I was finally able to completely close the window. I immediately took my car into my Audi Canada dealer, who said that unfortunately I was going to need a new motor and a new regulator assembly. I was quite surprised, since the rear windows have had very little use - normally I dont have any passengers in the rear seat. So the cycle count of my rear windows would be very close to zero. The cost estimate was approximately $C 1,900.00 I sent an email to Steven Elek on August 12, 2025 to ask if this was a common problem, and Im awaiting his reply."
