Overall, the A8 L is a very pleasant car with a sporty feel. It was the only sedan in this class to come with standard all-wheel drive. It's also quick and extremely quiet, with a roomy, impressively finished cabin. Handling is fairly nimble. The Multi Media Interface (MMI) multifunction control system is more intuitve than most of its ilk, but still complicated and distracting. Despite its lightweight aluminum unibody, the A8 got an unimpressive 17 mpg overall.
