"The 3.0 liter supercharged engine is very quick and responsive with the 8 speed transmission. Great torque from idle to redline, barely working the engine at 80 mph and 2000 rpm. This is one of the better handling SUVs in this size range and is just plain fun. The Q5 does well in the snow, but even dedicated snow tires are pretty wide and don't bite like a narrower tire on a lower performance car. One of the trade offs for performance and I do drive in the snow quite a bit to ski."

"I use the Q5 to drive to Florida each year. The first day is 12 hours of driving and the second day is 9 hours with 3 people in the vehicle. Both the front sport seats and the back seat are very comfortable for long extended periods and I never have complaints from my 2 passengers. The Q5 is just as quiet almost 4 years later as it was when new. There are still no squeaks or creaks when going over rough surfaces including railway tracks. This is my second Q5 and this one because of the diesel is even better than the first which was a V6 gas model."

"This is my second Q5 and I ordered it with the sport seats. While my 2011 Q5 with standard seats was comfortable on long journeys, the 2015 with the sport seats is even more comfortable. On my annual trip south my first day drive is 12 hours with two other passengers and no one, including the back seat passenger (my 91 year old Mom) have any complaints at the end of the 12 hours. Also, the climate controls are excellent, whether heating or cooling."

"The 2014-2017 SQ5 is an amazing vehicle. Large brakes can stop quickly. 354 hp makes it light on its feet. Steps going blue is so nice VW group took it away and gave it to Lambo, Bentley and Porsche. Exhaust that opens up at 3000 rpm is amazing. Hot or cold cup holder also taken away on 2018."
