    BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe

    EPA MPG: 30 mpg

    First Take
The 2 Series Gran Coupe got an extensive freshening for 2025. It gained power with a 241-hp 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine and a new seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This powertrain feels lively and polished. Handling is nimble and the ride is firm yet composed. The sporty M235 is stiffer and comes with a 312-hp engine. The Gran Coupe should not be confused with the 2 Series coupe, which is a genuine sports car. The Gran Coupe is based on a front-wheel-drive chassis shared with the X1, X2, and Mini Countryman. It may look like a hatchback but is actually a sedan. The low stance compromises access. Rear visibility is limited and the back seat is very cramped. The iDrive 9 infotainment system moved climate control and media buttons into the touchscreen.
