"Excellent driving performance, in many ways comparable to the 435i I had before; much better than I thought a SUV/SAV would perform."

Anonymous, CA (2017 BMW X3)

"On the highway it wants to go fast, it is smooth accelerating and cruising. From a full stop, I need to change to sport mode if I want decent acceleration, otherwise in the default eco mode the engine revs too much without substantial acceleration."

Sebastian Z., NY (2017 BMW X3)

"Have driven many SUVs. The 2017 X3, while 2017 was the last of the model run before re-design for 2018, handles better than most of the others - feels like BMW genes are in it. Snappy performance, decent mileage increase the joy of driving it."

Frank Y., CA (2017 BMW X3)

"peppy"

Richard T., LA (2017 BMW X3)

"Excellent control with good ride, have the adjustable suspension vertpy good"

S W., PA (2017 BMW X3)

"Responsive!!! Immediate acceleration. But a little lacking good visual fields when checking blind spots over each shoulder."

Tracey B., OR (2017 BMW X3)

"My X3 is the best car I have ever owned! The acceleration and handling is smooth; the gas mileage is great; and I love that it is dependable. And everything is covered for 3 years or 36,000 miles........and the BMW dealership is fantastic."

Cathy C., UT (2017 BMW X3)

"allthe acceleration I have need. handling always perfect.. never feel i don't have control"

D R., BC (2017 BMW X3)

"It’s an suv but drives like a sports car."

Anonymous, CA (2017 BMW X3)

"I owned many cars Subaru, Toyota, and Chevrolets. None came close to the acceleration and handling of my X3. Acceleration with my 4 cylinder engine is great."

Anonymous, SC (2017 BMW X3)

"Excellent acceleration and handling. The steering is very responsive and the acceleration is fantastic. The acceleration and handling is a key reason that I chose the X3 over other vehicles."

Kimberly R., ON (2017 BMW X3)

"Handling and acceleration is the reason we drive BMW.."

Anonymous, GA (2017 BMW X3)

"Shifting is awkward and it doesn’t shift easily...not intuitive ..trouble getting into reverse"

Michele S., NY (2017 BMW X3)

"The X3 has a large amount of torque giving me the ability to accelerate quickly whenever I need to. There is no body lean in corners and steering is quick and responsive."

John R., CA (2017 BMW X3)

"Great handling vehicle in all weather conditions"

Anonymous, FL (2017 BMW X3)

"Superb acceleration and handling although the 6 cylinder engine purposely roars during fast acceleration."

Allan V., MN (2017 BMW X3)

"I just wish this car existed years ago as the acceleration and handling are excellent with the 3.0 liter engine and M-Sport package. You have better comfort and visibility than the typical sedan, but with outstanding acceleration; and as a bonus, handling and braking. This really is a superior vehicle."

Anonymous, CA (2017 BMW X3)

"As stated, the X3 is much more athletic than its competitors, nice interior, decent (but not outstanding audio) but trade off is that front door map pockets are terrific - since speakers are not in lower door area."

Frank Y., CA (2017 BMW X3)

"Best snow car I have ever driven and I have been driving in the snow for 56 years. This car handles and drives like ten BMW in the ads. It is a great driving car. The four cylinder with two turbos accelerates very well."

James M., CO (2017 BMW X3)

"Very responsive engine and and secure handling"

Ira W., NJ (2017 BMW X3)

"There is a reason that they refer to their vehicles as "the ultimate driving machines". We were happy but not surprised to see that extended to their SAV's as well"

Anonymous, FL (2017 BMW X3)

"It hugs the road. It goes where I steer it and I LOVE driving it."

Anonymous, MD (2017 BMW X3)

"Very peppy when not in the ECO mode. When in the ECO mode, it is very slow, almost annoying"

Anonymous, AZ (2017 BMW X3)

"It is pretty fun to drive overall. Has good acceleration, feels light on its feet, excellent cornering capabilities. I don't like that it has a bit too much lag when accelerating from a full stop: you can rev the engine towards the red line and it will not help much. This is in comfort mode, as switching to sport just in order to make a left turn for instance would seem ridiculous."

Sebastian Z., NY (2017 BMW X3)

"The ride is outstanding and comfortable. The acceleration is adequate, but it won't slam you into the seat."

Anonymous, PA (2017 BMW X3)

"Very strong performance, comfortable ride."

Anonymous, VA (2017 BMW X3)

"This car has great acceleration (for a Sports Activity Vehicle aka: SUV). It's agile, and holds the road well, esp. curves off an entrance ramp onto a highway. I think the braking is fantastic and the grip in the rain is unlike any vehicle that I've driven."

Anonymous, PA (2017 BMW X3)

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"This car is extremly comfortable. The 16-way adjustable seat ensures a perfect fit for almost everyone (certainly everyone I have had in the car). My friends prefer if I drive places, so they can ride in my X3."

Kimberly R., ON (2017 BMW X3)

"The drive is smooth, comfortable and the acceleration and handling are all excellent"

William C., CT (2017 BMW X3)

"The seats are too thin and harsh. The driver's seat does not go back far enough. I'm only 5"-7" and I have the seat all the way back and still need more leg room. There is plenty of room behind the driver's seat to allow it to move further back and still not cramp the rear passenger."

Anonymous, AR (2017 BMW X3)

"Range of positions firmness/softness"

Anonymous, NY (2017 BMW X3)

"Comfortable, quiet riding vehicle. Have driven on long trips"

Anonymous, FL (2017 BMW X3)

"Very comfortable seat and the ride is very smooth. Pot holes are handled very nicely."

Lawrence H., CT (2017 BMW X3)

"seats much more comfortable than other vehicles owned, Noise and ride near perfect"

John W., CA (2017 BMW X3)

"A good feature is the ability of front seats to adjust to my comfot level. key fob does not always remember my seat settings. I thought the seats could be more comfortable, more padding and contured more to my body."

Anonymous, SC (2017 BMW X3)

"the run flat tires provide a rough ride."

Anonymous, OH (2017 BMW X3)

"everything is great. One thing missing: seat ventilation for hot summer (but newer model has it)"

Anonymous, ME (2017 BMW X3)

"Really comfortable. Smoother ride than other similar sized SUV s I have been in. Quiet cabin."

Anonymous, CA (2017 BMW X3)

Eric M., CA (2017 BMW X3)

Anonymous, IL (2017 BMW X3)

"Seems about average"

Anonymous, GA (2017 BMW X3)

"DRIVING POSITION, GREAT HANDLING, POWER DRIVE"

Anonymous, FL (2017 BMW X3)

"The sport seats support you legs better than most any seat and they are firm yet comfortable for long journeys. Wind noise is minimal for this style of vehicle and the ride is everything that you would expect from a BMW"

Anonymous, FL (2017 BMW X3)

"Incredible seats - supportive yet comfortable; with almost unlimited adjustments. Noise - there is none, other than a wonderful radio. The ride is "planted" without bone jarring harshness. It feels as if it's glued to the road. Extraordinarily confidence inspiring."

Anonymous, CA (2017 BMW X3)

Value

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

What Owners Say

"It is the ultimate driving machine of smaller SUV’s. Tight, well designed, better than expected MPG, wonderfully functional, easily accessed controls and the best voice activated GPS tha I have encountered"

Anonymous, FL (2017 BMW X3)

"For the money spent, this was the worst BMW ever leased. Too many issues with the dashboard (nav, Apple Car Play etc) Also numerous problems with blind spot detectors, lane change detectors, overhead camera"

Journet C., NY (2017 BMW X3)

"It is a premium German automobile, sporty, nice exterior design. I feel that we got a lot of value for the money we are paying for the lease, not so much if only looking at the MSRP."

Sebastian Z., NY (2017 BMW X3)

"Great handling, mediocre electronic features, price is high so lease is preferable...except when they do everything they can to avoid paying for repairs that result from design flaws."

Anonymous, CA (2017 BMW X3)

"The monthly lease is $457 per month. Compared to a lexus or anything else this was a very good price. The money down was only $2,000. Lease was 36 months with all maintenance included. Likely will need rear tires and perhaps a brake job. That's it for the 36 months."

Anonymous, AZ (2017 BMW X3)

"Very expensive to add features and options."

Anonymous, PR (2017 BMW X3)

"Pricy, as it is loaded, but has all the safety features which previous car didn't have. Driving is very enjoyable - quick, handles like a BMW."

Frank Y., CA (2017 BMW X3)
