This X5 xDrive45e Plug-in Hybrid has a 389-hp, 3.0-liter 6-cylinder turbocharged engine, a bump of 81 hp over the previous generation’s 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. The high-voltage battery grows to 24 kWh, up from the previous 12 kWh capacity which doubles the electric-only range to an EPA estimated 30-mile. It comes in standard all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The standard active driving assist includes blind spot warning, lane departure Warning, rear cross traffic warning, and pedestrian detection with city-speed automcatic emergency braking.
