In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

What Owners Say

Apple CarPlay

"Wireless CarPlay would disconnect randomly"

Anonymous, (2023 BMW X5 Plug-in Hybrid xDrive45e 3.0-L 6 Cyl plug-in hybrid)
Other in-car electronics problem

""The wireless phone charging pad was a $500 option on the 2023 X5. It is utterly useless...other than as a phone heater. It will not charge either our Galaxy S23 nor our iPhone 15 Pro, even without their protective cases. It simply causes the phone to get extremely hot. BMW service indicates that it is functioning normally.""

Anonymous A., AL (2023 BMW X5 Plug-in Hybrid xDrive45e 3.0-L 6 Cyl plug-in hybrid)
Phone pairing (e.g., Bluetooth)

What Owners Say

Other/unsure

"My X5 has serious problems with the all electric drive mode. I have had it lose complete power then go into limp mode while on the road. This condition lasted for two or three minutes and my dealership cannot find the problem. They did suggest just using hybrid mode which rather defeats the purpose os all electric availability ."
