The Regal is acceptable, but nothing special compared with its many fine competitors. Drawbacks include ungainly handling (the optional Gran Touring suspension improves that somewhat) and front seats that become less comfortable the longer you sit in them. On the plus side, the Regal rides well at lower speeds, its cabin is quiet, and its automatic shifts smoothly. The standard V6 puts out 200 hp. A 240-hp supercharged version is optional in the GS, making it fast though hardly sporty.
