This edition of the Cadillac CTS is a notable improvement over the model it replaces, easily competing toe-to-toe with some of the best German and Japanese sport sedans. A taut suspension and excellent steering give the CTS agile handling with a firm, yet compliant ride. The interior is significantly improved with higher quality materials.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Owner Satisfaction with:

Driving Experience

Includes acceleration and handling

What Owners Say

"Nimble and solid handling. Very capable in the mountains. Quite satisfied!"

Kip B., PA (2008 Cadillac CTS)

"3.6L V6 good acceleration, good performance, good handling. I only replaced break pads 1x in 99,000 miles. Never had to do a front / rear end alignment in 99,000 miles. Replaced spark plugs and 1 ignition coil at 91,500. Replaced two rear wheel bearings @ 93,000 miles. Best mechanical operating auto I ever owned. God willing I hope to get another 100,000 miles and 10 years on this automobile. Follow maintenance and change the fluids as recommended - this is the secret."

Anonymous, PA (2008 Cadillac CTS)

"Powerful and great handling"

Donald K., IL (2008 Cadillac CTS)

"I Love this car! It is fun to drive, very comfortable. The Gas Mileage could be better, but I am willing to live with it because I enjoy this so much It also has all-wheel drive which I love. This car will handle just about anything I want in a car, and more!"

Robert L., WA (2008 Cadillac CTS)

"Reasonably good for both"

Anonymous, VA (2008 Cadillac CTS)

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"Seats/ride is comfortable. It is noisy, however. Compared to the Lexus, the Cadillac is much noisier"

Anonymous, CA (2008 Cadillac CTS)

"driver seat needed repair of cover several times"

M H., CA (2008 Cadillac CTS)

"I am very pleased with this vehicle. However, it does not have a spare tire. I was not aware of this when I purchased the vehicle. If I had known this I would have purchased but, opted for the spare tire at additional cost. The dealer did not inform me there was no spare tire."

Wanda R., GA (2008 Cadillac CTS)

"Rides and handles beautifully. Only complaint is that it is noisier than I would like (we have the sport package, wider and lower profile tires)."

Anonymous, NM (2008 Cadillac CTS)

"very confortable"

Jerry Y., CA (2008 Cadillac CTS)

"Car has hi-performance suspension--hardest-riding Cadillac I've ever driven."

Leon M., FL (2008 Cadillac CTS)

"Sport suspension option provides a taught handling with V6 engine powered acceleration."

Anonymous, CA (2008 Cadillac CTS)

"Hard to get in and out of this car. Also rear window visibility is poor!"

Anonymous, NY (2008 Cadillac CTS)
