    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Android Auto

"Dealer tried over an hour to connect."

Anonymous A., IL (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)
    Display screen freezes up

"I believe this problem was related to the previous one I spoke about and has been resolved with the new wiring the dealer installed."

Anonymous, AL (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)

"Screen and camera displays 4 times. Was resolved in 2 weeks by over the air updates"

Anonymous, TX (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)
    Display screen goes blank

""Shortly after purchase I had the issue with the screen not functioning. I took it to the dealer under warranty and they replaced the screen. This worked for a short while, but it failed again. It restarted and the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The third time it happened I drove to the dealer without the screen so they could see the problem. At this point I was near invoking the Lemon Law in Alabama as the car was out of service for over 30 days. The dealer worked on the car a determined it was a failure of the connection between the audio system and the screen. They replaced the wiring and I have not had the problem since this repair.""

Anonymous, AL (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)

""I would be driving along and suddenly the screen would reboot, this happened several times and I believe Cadillac corrected the problem. I also find the screen to be too dark when the automatic headlights come on and it's no quite dark yet. The whole system needs to be brighter actually.""

Anonymous A., OH (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)

"While starting out from my driveway the screening had issues for staying current and maintaining live performances. More than 2 times after the dealership had updated this probably. Importantly during the back up the car in reverse had no screen scenes and side mirrors would not automatically work or tilt."

Anonymous, TX (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)

"Screen sometimes blinks off and on, then whole screen turns green, then black"

Anonymous A., MD (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)

"The screen went black while driving 4 different times. I pulled over and turned off the car, waited and turned the car back on and screen worked."

Anonymous A., NJ (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)
    Other in-car electronics problem

""car's sensors make exiting my driveway, parking in shadows and backing up in rainy weather almost impossible. Leafy shadows are misinterpreted as people constantly, street shadows cause constant alerts for collisions where there are none imminent. Brakes are jammed on constantly in these situations when there is no danger present.""

Anonymous A., CA (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Unsure Electric)
    Phone pairing (e.g., Bluetooth)

"The phone charging system sends a message about making sure there is no metal objects in the pocket. Then it will not charge the phone."

Anonymous, CA (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)
    Radio

"one or more times radio louses signal says "signal lost trying to reconnect. often over 20 minutes must reboot. Often a 15 minute process."

Anonymous A., IL (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)

    Noises/Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Air or water leaks

""Started after from day 1, noticed passenger floor wet, and when driving car home from picking it up, severe wind noise coming from ride side(passenger) windshield area.""

Anonymous, ON (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Tech Electric)
    Seals and/or weather-stripping

"The original windshield leaked in heavy rain. Dealer was very reluctant to replace it despite me having a video of it leaking. Dealer said they couldnt reproduce it. I needed to call Cadillac to finally get it replaced"

Anonymous A., FL (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Sport Electric)

"Dealer isolated wind noise most likely coming from defective passenger side A Pillar chrome weather strip."

Anonymous, ON (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Tech Electric)
    Squeaks or rattles

"Had a squeaking sound from the front end when going over bumps in the road or things like speed humps. Dealership was able to fix the problem on one visit when we were out of town on travel. Diagnosed as missing lubrication from the top of the driver strut tower which required the shop to disassemble the front strut, lube it, and reassemble. Car has been fine since howerver."

Anonymous A., FL (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)

"Squeak in the driver door up by the back end near the B pillar (where a traditional door lock would have been). Dealer diagnosed it as missing some lining material, which they reapplied and reassembled and the squeak has been gone since."

Anonymous A., FL (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)

    EV Charging

Won't charge at home; won't work with some public chargers; won't fully charge; charge connection; charge port door.

    What Owners Say

    Charge connection problem

"Issues with screen going black and problem with charging at home was significant and dangerous. I took to dealer and they took 1 month to complete the fix due to backorder of charger port."

Anonymous A., NJ (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)
Problem with the charging cable/cord that came with this vehicle

""Had to go back to dealers at least twice as the cable cord would not charge the car at home. This started when we first purchased within 300 miles of owning. We have experienced at least twice. The problem was resolved after the car was towed from Sacramento to San Jose, CA where we purchased. I truly believe these are great cars for around town or short distances. Seems like our problems occurred on 200 mile trips about 1/2 way through.""

Anonymous, CA (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Unsure Electric)
    Won't fully charge

"The charger would not fully charge and the problem worsened with time. The charger was replaced by the dealer."

"12v battery failure disabled ALL onboard controls"

Anonymous, FL (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)
    Other electrical system problem

"There was a frayed wire leading to the backup lights causing them to be inoperable. The dealer's technicians found the problem and repaired it."

Anonymous, NY (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)

    EV Battery

Electric/hybrid battery pack failure, replacement or malfunction, or cooling.

    What Owners Say

    Electric/hybrid battery pack replacement

""Battery developed a short. It became hot. I pulled it out of the garage and drove around the block and seemed OK. Contacted dealer who said to bring it in if I could. Trip in transit was uneventful. Dealer indicated that the battery needed replacement but couldn't tell when the new battery would come in. They rented a car from Enterprise for me, a Nissan Kick!. The battery came in 2 weeks later (about the same amount of time a steering wheel replacement lead time on a subsequent repair for supercruise button). I've not had problem with charging or the battery since.""

Anonymous, IN (2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Electric)

"The car stopped charging and they determined it needed a new EV battery. It was under warranty so there was no charge to us."
