Chrysler Minivans Recalled to Fix Airbag Problems

Some Pacifica and Voyager minivans will need to have faulty side curtain airbags replaced

Chrysler is recalling over 250,000 Pacifica and Voyager minivans from the 2022 through 2025 model years to replace defective side curtain airbags.

    More On car Recalls

The airbags may not inflate properly due to improperly sealed seams, which could increase the risk of the occupant being fully or partially ejected from the side window during a crash. As a result, these vehicles do not meet federal safety standards.

Chrysler will inspect the recalled vehicles and, if necessary, fix the problem by replacing the driver, passenger, or both side curtain airbags, free of charge. The repair isn’t available yet, but Chrysler will notify owners as soon as they can schedule a free repair.

Some Chrysler Pacifica minivans were recalled last year to fix a different airbag-related issue.

    Chrysler Minivan Recall Details

Vehicles recalled: Chrysler Pacifica and Voyager minivans manufactured between May 10, 2022, and Nov. 3, 2024.

The problem: Due to an improperly sealed seam, the side curtain airbags may not have sufficient pressure retention during deployment. As such, they do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."

The fix: Chrysler dealerships will replace the driver, passenger, or both side curtain airbags, depending on the vehicle.

How to contact the manufacturer: Owners may contact Chrysler at 800-853-1403.

NHTSA campaign number: 25V302. Chrysler’s own numbers for this recall are 06C, 54C, and 55C.
