GM Full-Sized SUVs Recalled Due to Potential Engine Failure
2021-2024 Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC models with the 6.2-liter V8 are at risk
General Motors is recalling 597,630 full-sized SUVs equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 for the risk of engine failure. The action includes the 2021-2024 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV; Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Suburban, and Tahoe; and GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon, and Yukon XL.

• 2021-2024 GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon, and Yukon XL
The problem: Manufacturing defects with internal components can cause engine damage and, potentially, failure.
The fix: Dealerships will inspect the engine and, as necessary, repair or replace the engine. Engines without a problem will be filled with a higher-viscosity oil.
