Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru Recall Over 1 Million Vehicles to Fix Backup Camera
A software update should fix the issue of images not displaying properly
Toyota and Lexus are recalling over a million 2022 through 2026 Toyota bZ4X, Camry, Crown, Crown Signia, Grand Highlander, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Mirai, Prius, RAV4, Sienna, and Venza models and Lexus ES, GX, LC, LS, LX, NX, RX, RZ, and TX models. The related Subaru Solterra is also being recalled.
Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru Backup Camera Recall Details
The problem: A software issue may cause the backup camera to display a frozen or blank image, which means the vehicles are not in compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
The fix: A free software update, which is still in development, will prevent this from happening.
