Talking Cars 455: We Bought a Tesla Cybertruck

The podcast panel discusses what it's like to drive and explains how CR purchases cars anonymously

Main theme: The Tesla Cybertruck we purchased in December 2019 just arrived. We plan to treat it just like every other vehicle we test—although some initial software hiccups mean it might need a trip to a Tesla Service Center first. In the meantime, we share our experiences driving it, picking it up from the dealership, parking it, washing it, and interacting with strangers who want to share their opinions about it with us.

Read CR’s First Drive review of the 2024 Tesla Cybertruck.

    Audience Questions
    • How do CR employees stay anonymous when purchasing cars to test?
    • Why aren’t there any Subarus on your latest list of the safest cars you can buy right now?
