What Owners Say
"My wife drives this vehicle and she likes that it's big enough to give her a "road presence"."
Anthony S., FL (2002 Chevrolet Avalanche)"My Avalanche handles like a fine car. For its size it is wonderful to drive. Some of my friends have driven it while on vacations and they say it handles a lot better than they expected it too. Its very smooth and the engine has lots of power and excelleration when I need it."
TODD O., OH (2002 Chevrolet Avalanche)"A truck that rides, handles and accelerates like a luxury automobile."
MACK H., AL (2002 Chevrolet Avalanche)"The handling and responsiveness of the vehicle's all wheel drive option traveling on icy/snow covered roads is truly excellent."
Anonymous, MT (2002 Chevrolet Avalanche)"Poor braking system but otherwise a well engineered machine that has given me many years of driving pleasure and it's a good workhorse too.Too bad GM discontinued them. They should produce one edition every 5 years."
JAMES B., ON (2002 Chevrolet Avalanche)"If you are looking for good gas mileage it will do ok on the road but in town it is around 11 miles per gal. Love the looks, ride and comfort."
Anonymous, CO (2002 Chevrolet Avalanche)"Great power steering, I can use 1 finger in the spokes of the steering wheel to whip it around tight corners such as parking lots, great turning radius for its size"
Anonymous, WI (2002 Chevrolet Avalanche)"Lots of power and excellent 4WD."
Anonymous, KS (2002 Chevrolet Avalanche)"The 350 (5.3L) runs great even though it has over 160,000 miles, the Z71 package is well worth the money. I had to spend a little money on some suspension, wear and tear, but no trouble with engine, tranny, or rear end. I also have 22 inch tires on it. I had to get catalytic converters two years ago, but stuff wears out. Transmission never fails."
Patrick K., IL (2002 Chevrolet Avalanche)"Big vehicle but drives like a car. V8 provides smooth acceleration."
Gary G., IN (2002 Chevrolet Avalanche)
"great pick-up, steering easy for size of vehicle"
