"The battery was recalled about 2 years ago. GM started with the earlier years. Then GM indicated that they would install a software pkg to monitor the battery until 16934 miles. If no issues occur, full recharging would resume. The software sent a signal that we had a battery problem just before we hit the noted mileage. GM replaced the battery and installed a software update as well as a new 12V battery. The dealer replaced the battery along with the updates in one week. The car accepts a full charge and we are now avg 6miles/KwH! I have driven approximately 183 miles and it shows that I have about 190 miles left. It will be interesting to see the kind of mileage that I will be able to get now."
