Chevrolet Camaro

What you don't get in sophistication you get in raw power. The end of the road, however, is near for GM's rear-wheel-drive Camaro and Pontiac Firebird muscle cars. Despite a 325-hp version of the Chevrolet Corvette's 5.7-liter V8 and available convertible models, they're among GM's slowest sellers. Both are too bulky to be nimble. They also ride uncomfortably. Traction control is a worthwhile option, especially in V8-powered models. Muscle cars as a class can also be hideously expensive to insure, particularly if there's a young male driver in the family.
