This version of the Chrysler Town & Country is far better than the model it replaced. Still, despite some notable features, they didn’t rise to the level needed to compete against better models from Japan and South Korea. We tested the high-end Town & Country Limited. Safety features added with this model include standard stability control and curtain airbags. The ride has also been improved.

"It totally failed and I had it replaced"

Fred M., FL (2010 Chrysler Town & Country Touring 3.8-L V6)
Automatic climate control

"Last winter we had a clicking noise when changing from heat to air. This summer when AC was needed all we got was heat."

Axel N., UT (2010 Chrysler Town & Country Touring 3.8-L V6)

"The climate control actuators one by one began to fail. First the driver side, then the passenger side. It also has a rear actuator under the front dash as well. Dealer charges $700 to replace all three. Part was inexpensive at the dealer. Comparable to an after market parts store. It was the labor/difficulty getting to them that runs up the cost. Whether through a dealer of a repair shop."

Anonymous, AZ (2010 Chrysler Town & Country Touring 4.0-L V6)

"Had to replace all 3 actuators to get cold air as opposed to heat. Front actuators made a loud clicking sound when temp was set to cold."

Interior lights

"Climate controls are lighted on the left side, but lighting has failed on the right side controls and also on the clock in the middle. Ironically, the door lock on the right side works, but not on the left side. Obviously the vehicle has a problem with faulty wiring"

Anonymous, MI (2010 Chrysler Town & Country Touring 3.8-L V6)
Keyless entry

"The key fob on the vehicle has broken down over time. The small metal pieces inside the fob that make connection slip out of place, causing the vehicle to randomly unlock, open the sides doors, and roll down the windows. At one point, it was so sensitive that merely dangling the fob from the keychain would cause the vehicle to respond. Because replacing the fob is expensive, that issue has been solved with a strip of tape to hold the contact points in place. After about a year of dealing with the fob, the vehicle stopped responding to it completely. In addition, the driver's side door unlock button no longer unlocks the doors. So we have to unlock the vehicle with a key and then lean over to the passenger side to unlock the other doors."

Anonymous, TX (2010 Chrysler Town & Country LX 3.8-L V6)

"It wouldn't start periodically. But if we waited a minute of two. It would start up again. We replaced the TIPM hoping that would fix the problem, but it still dose it, however, less frequently."

Dealership call and said that they could have repaired it for 3500.00 but I had already committed to the used one. Had to tow the vehicle home which cost me another 400.00.
