    Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

    Overall Owner Satisfaction

    Owner Satisfaction with:

    Driving Experience

    Includes acceleration and handling

    What Owners Say

"Easy to handle, parks easily, cruise control works well"

Anonymous, OR (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

    "Drives well just getting old"

Thomas L., MN (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"I like the way it starts, handles in turns and acceleration."

Kenneth G., WA (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"It continues to give me good performance. The windows sticking in position was a problem. I suspect the motors were under designed."

Kenneth G., WA (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"This is not a sporty car, but it provides a secure, capable driving experience which is what I am looking for. The front seats are very comfortable for long distance driving."

Merm C., ON (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"With the larger V6, the vehicle accelerates well at the expense of some MPG. But the suspension is poor, especially in the rear. With only half of the full rated load, the suspension sits so low in the rear that it constantly bottoms out. The issue is worse with six passengers. Even new, high performance shock absorbers have not made the issue tolerable. I am considering helper springs."

Atwell H., NJ (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"Peppy vehicle for a 4 cyclinder"

Anonymous, NY (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

    Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

    What Owners Say

"The front seats of this Sport model Caravan offer excellent comfort and support for long journeys. Now that the vehicle is 16 model years old, it has excessive wind and road noise. However the van keeps running well, and the I plan to keep driving it for now."

Merm C., ON (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"I find my body fits the seats well no matter how long I drive"

Anonymous, MB (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"Rde comfort, room & seat comfort"

Richard W., GA (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"Seats are comfortable. Ride is good to excellent."

Harlan S., TX (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"This is a large comfortable vehicle that excels at carrying passengers and cargo. It is quiet to drive. The size can make it difficult to park."

Atwell H., NJ (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"Bucket seats and overall comfort, there is not a lot of extraordinary noise in this vehicle."

Thomas L., MN (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"The Caravan is a basic long style minivan with old technology. I like that a lot. seats are simple but very comfortable. The minivan ride is like a boat or an old style Cadillac. There are some car rattle after 169,000 miles. The biggest disappointment about the minivan was the fact the drive train, ignition and suspension system wore out between 100,000 to 160,000 miles. The only items I have not replaced are the engine and the A/C unit."

Brian H., CA (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"Very quite and a comfortable ride."

Gary F., AZ (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"We love this van. We use two mobility scooters and both fir easily in the back. It drives well, and has aged well, 15 years now. It needed a new engine 4 years ago. Beyond that, no major problems except BBS this year. We live on a dirt road so some expected rust now. It has been a reliable car."

    Harold-Barbara R., MI (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"I like the versatility of the passenger/cargo options, although this is a pre- stow and go model, which means that I have to remove the seats to have full cargo carrying capacity. The vehicle also has sufficient room to accommodate rear facing child seats which are very bulky. Also, the front seats in this 2002 Sport model are very comfortable"

Merm C., ON (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"Seats are firm and high - nice comfort in this vehicle"

Anonymous, OH (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

    "I like mini-van seats"

Anonymous, NY (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"High & comfortable ad well as seating position."

Anonymous, NY (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

    What Owners Say

"This vehicle has the most comfortable seats of any van or sedan I have owned in the last 50 years"

Paul T., NM (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"We have three caravans and they have all been good to very good. 2002 transmission went out around 100,000. Ahortly after purchase, a rattling suspension noise appeared in the front end. Took it to the dealer and had no satisfaction. That dealer is now out of business."

Anonymous, CA (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"At 123k miles no problems other than ac"

Les F., TN (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"We have had the van for 15 years and have no plans o get rid of it."

Gary F., AZ (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

    "excellent value."

    Harold-Barbara R., MI (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"Ran for a lot of miles with mostly just routine maintenance, and a few other "fixes"..."

Anonymous, OH (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

    "lasted this long"

Anonymous, CA (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)

"Very reliable. No expensive repairs other than ones associated with mileage -- tune=up, tires, brakes."

Anonymous, AZ (2002 Dodge Grand Caravan)
