Dodge Ram 1500

This pickup is seriously outclassed by newer trucks from Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota. The powertrain is slow, thirsty, and inefficient. Handling is ponderous and cumbersome (but secure enough), and the ride is mediocre at best. The front seats are adequately comfortable. An available four-door Quad Cab version greatly improves access to the space behind the front seat, though even regular-cab models have generous storage room up front and behind the reclining seatbacks. Reliability has been subpar.
