Dodge Ram 1500 Change Vehicle

"Single zone HVAC control module has issues causing blend doors to not work or work improperly. Must be a common problem because parts are unavailable from dealers or backordered months. Problem not resolved but I have done a temporary fix by removing a blend door actuator and securing the door in a partially open position. Seems to be a common problem with this vehicle."

"The auto climate system blend doors or blend door motors broke and require the dash to be removed out of the truck so you can remove the whole a/c and heat unit to removed out the truck to be repaired."

"Climate control System has been replaced several years ago. Medium fan speed on current system is nonfunctional."

"The blend actuator went out, this is the second time this has happened and I've yet to get it fixed because you have to take the entire dash out to fix it. Dealer wants $1500+ for the repair even though their was a recall on the unit. There are 5 of these actuators in different spots within the cooling system and they have plastic gears which strip out which is why they had the recall."

"Vehicle sounded noisy while driving and there was slight vibration in the pedals. Could not determine the problem exactly, but wheel bearings were the likely cause due to speed related nature of issues. Bearings were replaced and the problem went away. The old bearings felt rough like they had been contaminated or were dry, but they were not completely worn out. They would have needed to be replaced eventually though."
