Talking Cars 365: Driving the 2023 Genesis Electrified G80

Look once, twice, three times . . . and you’ll still miss that it's an EV

Main theme: In a world of SUV-ish-looking electric vehicles that, somehow all look strikingly similar rolls the Genesis Electrified G80, which looks roughly 98.5 percent like the conventionally powered Genesis G80. In fact, the EV version of the G80 looks so similar to the regular version that we challenge you to look at pictures of it and find where the door for the charging port is. No Googling!

In this week’s episode we discuss the Electrified G80’s styling, electric range, driving dynamics, and luxurious interior, and how it compares with the gas-powered version.

Audience question: With so many electric vehicles on the market, which EV would the panel recommend to a first-time buyer?
