"We bought this vehicle to tow behind our motorhome as we travel. The 2023 model had a bug in the braking component that arose when the neutral tow mode setting was enabled. We were assured that it was a software bug which had been applied to the 2023 model year vehicles and incorporated into the 2024. We experienced multiple brake lockups when we towed it, strong enough to bring our 20,000 lb motorhome to a dead stop on interstates. We took it to 2 different dealers who found to issues. We discussed it with Ford Bronco staff at OffRoadeo school. No one had heard of it. There is an active Bronco Facebook group where copies of the 2025 owners manual was shared, telling owners that if they 'wanted' to use a 3rd party supplemental braking system when the vehicle was in neutral tow mode you need to pop the hood, close the door, let the vehicle sleep for 5 minutes, then pull 2 specific fuses. Then reverse the process when removing the vehicle from neutral tow. Ford has NEVER provided 2024 owners of this process in writing. Furthermore, the use of a 3rd party brake system is REQUIRED in most states. We specifically bought the Bronco because we didn't have to pull fuses! So disheartening and a pain in the a$$ process. We want Ford to own up and publicly acknowledge the problem."
