The F-350 is a heavy-duty truck with a 1-ton capacity as opposed to the 1/2 ton of the F-150. The Super Duty line was redesigned for 2005 with new exterior and revised engines. The ride is stiff and bouncy, especially compared to the F-150. Ford's 6.0-liter turbodiesel packs some real punch and is fairly quiet and free of vibration. Stepping into the cabin is more difficult because of the high floor.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Owner Satisfaction with:

Driving Experience

Includes acceleration and handling

What Owners Say

"Accelerates very strongly. Handles poorly, as a truck."

Anonymous, OH (2013 Ford F-350)

"Outstanding trailer pulling at 24000 lbs gooseneck, very quiet, much better control and braking with heavy loads, and again, very very quiet. computer will even downshift on cruise control to slow vehicle and trailer down if needed."

WILLIAM E., TX (2013 Ford F-350)

"Sluggish accelleration I believe do to drive by wire"

DAVID B., MA (2013 Ford F-350)

"The valves had to be replaced at the end of the second year. This was after many visits to the dealer to fix misfiring at low rpms."

JERRI R., CO (2013 Ford F-350)

"Plenty of horsepower and torque for towing my 16K pound trailer while still getting good fuel economy (12MPG with the 5th wheel camper hooked up) yet a very comfortable ride with or without the trailer attached."

WILLIAM P., VA (2013 Ford F-350)

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"I am 6'9" tall and this Ford F-350 has the best room and driver comfort of any vehicle I ever owned, and my wife loves the cooled seats"

J W., MA (2013 Ford F-350)

"In California, this truck is too big for everyday driving and parking (husbands truck). The body and tailgate metal is extremely light weight compared to my Toyota tundra It drives great! has great comfort! will carry huge loads of anything Has lots of leg room The air conditioner takes longer than expected to cool At 80 mph there is this huge annoying whirling noise we think coming from light fixture on top of cab And more times than not, have trouble syncing Iphone 5s and iphone 6 to music app"

STACY G., CA (2013 Ford F-350)

"Surprisingly smooth and quiet for an heavy duty Ford truck. Much improved from my 2005 F250. Very quick acceleration, too. Actually gets better fuel economy despite being larger and more powerful than its predecessor."

RONALD B., CA (2013 Ford F-350)

Value

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

What Owners Say

"Nothing against vehicle. We bought to tow RV, but my health failed, so we have a vehicle that we basically can't use for the purpose intended -- but my wife loves to drive it!"

MARSHALL G., AZ (2013 Ford F-350)

"We bought our Lariat used for $ 50K with 17,000 miles and love it. It is a luxury vehicle with power to pull our boat and carry a camper. Mileage is good, seats are awesome and tons of great accessories!"

JOHN M., OR (2013 Ford F-350)

"Vehicle is very reliable with very little issues. Towing, power, ride/comfort and reliability is very good."

STEVE G., IL (2013 Ford F-350)

Percentage of owners who would definitely purchase that same vehicle again. Owner-satisfaction Ratings are determined by the percentage of those who answered "definitely yes" to the question asked by the Consumer Reports Annual Auto Survey "Considering all factors (price, performance, reliability, comfort, enjoyment, etc.), would you get this car if you had to do it all over again?". If we don’t have sufficient data, a similar model might be used to form the owner-satisfaction score.
