With a distinctive boxy shape combining the elements of an SUV, minivan and station wagon, the Flex is a very functional and versatile vehicle. The base 3.5-liter V6 engine was updated over the years in an attempt to improve acceleration and fuel economy, but it still falls short on refinement.

"This car needed all 4 motor mounts at 88k miles? This is a car that I bought brand new and I have owned only Honda, Toyota or Acura cars in the past 25 years. I have had those cars with up to 195k miles and I only had to do motor mounts once with those cars at 165k miles and not at 88k miles!!! This is unacceptable and over the past 7 years of ownership of the Flex, I have on average had to take it into the shop once every 4 months for an issue!!! I bought this Flex in June 2012 because of a Good Rating from CR and it was the BIGGEST CAR MISTAKE that I have ever made in my 30 years of car ownership!!!"
