The Ford Fusion is agile and satisfying to drive, with a sporty feel. Its V6 engine and automatic transmission make for a smooth and responsive powertrain, the four-cylinder option is a bit coarse however. Additionally, Fusion's interior is well made and space is generous.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? "The engine is a V6 3.0L and has great pickup nd handles well in all weather conditions because of the AWD"

Richard L., SC (2007 Ford Fusion)

"Very reliable car, however acceleration (4 cylinder) is very poor."

Craig A., CA (2007 Ford Fusion)

Anonymous, FL (2007 Ford Fusion)

AL J., BC (2007 Ford Fusion)

"The car car handles extremely well , even in bad weather with the all wheel drive . I get great mileage because of being an easy driver but the car can move and get out of the way when needed"

RICHARD L., PA (2007 Ford Fusion)

"The SE version with the wide tires handles HORRIBLY in any snow and is not driveable even with m&s tires."

ROB L., MO (2007 Ford Fusion)

FRANK C., NY (2007 Ford Fusion)

"Acceleration is OK in stop/go conditions, but truly shines at highway speed. Passing acceleration is adequate. Handling is good, but was much improved in the next generation of this platform (2010-2012). The lack of standard traction/stability/abs controls on this vehicle came as quite a surprise, and has definitely caused for concern under certain conditions where a skid was experienced. ABS was standard on similarly equipped Mazda 6 models, which can be directly compared, as they're the same p"

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

What Owners Say

"Over 9 years of ownership, I have never had to service this car except for routine maintenance."

Anonymous, MI (2007 Ford Fusion)

"I have had this car over 3 duty stations and 2 schools. It has been reliable, roomy, and has a good ride. We consistently get good mileage and have no issues year after year."

TODD C., GA (2007 Ford Fusion)

"Due to engines positioning, a tension pulley is up against the wheel well on the passenger side and the bolt routinely breaks due to a design flaw. It is difficult to get to the pulley so ended up just cutting a small hole on the wheel well. Also, for the small engine and relatively small vehicle, the MPG is pretty poor."

Anonymous, WA (2007 Ford Fusion)

"Even though I bought it at the height of Detroit's greed, it was a good deal for a popular American car. It was extremely reliable for the first 8 years. New Jersey roadways caused the front end to need replacement. It has 130,000 miles on it but it's starting to show its age this year. I service my vehicles religiously."

JOHN V., NJ (2007 Ford Fusion)

What Owners Say

FRANK C., NY (2007 Ford Fusion)

"the trunk is high so impairs visibility when reversing. pillar between rear side windows and rear windshield is too wide so impairs blind spot visibility"

Anonymous, TN (2007 Ford Fusion)

"I still like the styling although it is dated, B post is large and rear/side vision is not good, the new Fusions are beautiful and I may have to get one."

THOMAS R., VT (2007 Ford Fusion)
