Includes acceleration and handling
What Owners Say
"Handles like a much smaller and lighter vehicle. The acceleration is remarkable for a V-6 AWD."
ROGER H., CO (2010 Ford Taurus)"I think it handles great for a car its size. Good acceleration and breaking"
Anonymous, CA (2010 Ford Taurus)"Handling/responsiveness are excellent."
Anonymous, LA (2010 Ford Taurus)"The all wheel drive is a plus in the 2010 Taurus SHO. I have owned three SHOs since 1992 and this car is a thousand pounds heavier than the previous two but you wouldn't know it by the great acceleration. The twin turbo chargers are great and the car handles well on curves. No complaints at all."
Anonymous, FL (2010 Ford Taurus)"Performance"
WILLIAM B., NJ (2010 Ford Taurus)"Good acceleration, poor to very poor brakes. Good on open road but not in the corners."
Anonymous, CO (2010 Ford Taurus)"Acceleration is adequate but the steering is not as easy as I would like although on a highway it keeps the car very steady and stable especially on poor roadways and during windy conditions. Steering has a very good sense of the road."
Jane M., NY (2010 Ford Taurus)"Handling, particularly stable and smooth."
Anonymous, LA (2010 Ford Taurus)"Both are very responsive and as quick as I need."
Anonymous, NH (2010 Ford Taurus)"Handling, acceleration, and comfortable for long range driving."
Raymond F., MI (2010 Ford Taurus)"Immediate acceleration"
Anonymous, NC (2010 Ford Taurus)"a comfortable ride with a feeling of security with it's size."
Frank D., FL (2010 Ford Taurus)"The styling leads to poor visibility to the rear. If we don't have any rear seat passengers, we remove the head rests. The single most important factor in our next vehicle will be rear visibility. We anticipate getting an SUV class of vehicle."
Anonymous, NS (2010 Ford Taurus)"Utility all around"
Dennis L., KY (2010 Ford Taurus)"It has great handling when steering, road curves etc."
Anonymous, PA (2010 Ford Taurus)"Acceleration and handling are very good."
Anonymous, NY (2010 Ford Taurus)"Great acceleration"
Anonymous, KS (2010 Ford Taurus)"I have taken this car to the track, so I have really good knowledge on the handling and performance. The performance of the EcoBoost is outstanding. The car can reach 60MPH in just over 5 seconds which is commendable for a 2-ton vehicle with this comfort. The tires are big and hold the road well and provide a confident feeling. The steering is light at low speeds, which is good for parking but is solid at speed. The brakes are an area that I would have liked to upgrade. While on the street..."
Brian H., NE (2010 Ford Taurus)"For a normally aspirated 3.5 V6 the Taurus runs very good. Handling is OK for a car of this size."
Steve H., OH (2010 Ford Taurus)"Acceleration is very strong with the twin turbo six and AWD! Handling is very good with the sport tuned suspension."
Dennis L., KY (2010 Ford Taurus)"Very low noise, quick pickup and smooth"
D M., FL (2010 Ford Taurus)
"All wheel drive and EcoBoost engine provide strong accelerator and throttle performance when called upon with little noise or drama. Handling is solid and responsive with good feedback and the wide tires grip well (but do tend to leak air requiring top-offs). Brakes are adequate, but have not impressed (fine for one hard brake, but fades quickly). Performance in the engine/acceleration area is a key reason I'd buy again."
BRIAN H., NE (2010 Ford Taurus)
