Somehow the Ford Taurus manages to be a rather large sedan with a tight and cramped interior. Poor packaging efficiency, with a center console that resembles the Great Wall of China and not much rear seat room, results in an interior that feels smaller than many midsized sedans.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Anonymous, MI (2016 Ford Taurus)

"long wheelbase, good highway cruiser"

Anonymous, ON (2016 Ford Taurus)

John H., OH (2016 Ford Taurus)

"The Taurus has a great ride with very comfortable seats. The ride is a tad noisier than one would expect but overall not bad."

Carleton S., AK (2016 Ford Taurus)

"We bought this for our road car. Very comfortable on long trips. Very quiet. Electric leather seats have wide range of adjustment. Ride is smooth and secure. (even in wind and rain)"

Jeff H., TX (2016 Ford Taurus)

"they are fine"

Anonymous, LA (2016 Ford Taurus)

"The seats lose their support and cushion around 35 thousand miles. The two wheel drive version has difficulty with slick surfaces, rain or snow produce terrific understeer and often real difficulty restarting from a stop on any slight incline, even with new tires."

Britain S., KS (2016 Ford Taurus)

"all good"

John H., OH (2016 Ford Taurus)

"Good ride for a large car."

Anonymous, ON (2016 Ford Taurus)

"The seats of the Taurus are comfortable. The Leg space is NOT. On the passenger side there is a big lump at the base of the seat which totally gets in the way of where I want to put my legs/feet for comfort. I don't know what the bulge is, but it make driving uncomfortable because I can't put my legs and feet where they feel best. the audio controls and panel are too far away and I have to constantly lean in to reach them while the driver drives. Not the best layout."
