Engine Major

Engine rebuild or replacement, cylinder head, head gasket, turbocharger or supercharger, timing chain or belt.

What Owners Say

Turbo or supercharger

"The turbo/transmission on this vehicle is poor to begin with. Sputters at times when making turns. More important about 2 months after purchase the vehicle started having accelerating problems. The RPM's would shoot up from 1500 to 5000 to 6000 when I would accelerate but the car would not go any where. Apparently there is a cool pump and a hot pump for the turbo. The cool pump was broken and leaking. Had to wait close to 3 weeks to get an appointment even though the car was not safe to drive. They kept the car 11 days and fixed it. I still think there is something wrong but I am just exhausted from all this and as soon as I can I am going to get rid of it and get a Toyota or a Lexus. Hired a lawyer. Corporate Genesis doesn't care."

Anonymous, OH (2025 Genesis GV70 Advanced 2.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

Fuel System/Emissions

Sensors (O₂, or oxygen, sensor), emission-control devices (includes EGR), fuel-injection system, fuel gauge/sender, fuel pump, problems filling up the tank.

Anonymous, AZ (2025 Genesis GV70 Advanced 2.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

Paint/Trim

Paint (fading, chalking, peeling, or cracking), loose interior or exterior trim or moldings, rust.

What Owners Say

Loose exterior trim or moldings

"Fender flare rear driver side started to separate from vehicle in 1st 2 weeks. Then a few months later the same thing started happening to the front fender. In both circumstances Genesis took 2 months to repair. The bumper is still not fixed. Service would tell me that this was wrong with it, made me wait 7 weeks for an appointment and then when I brought vehicle in for that appointment they said it wasn't this, it was that. Now waiting another 7 weeks for them to repair. The fender flare and bumper were broken when I purchased car. Complained to Genesis corporate. They were horrible. "Well we don't care about dissatisfaction, we only care if it meets lemon criteria" Had to hire a lawyer. Have had the car for 8 months and except for 1st 2 weeks have never had it without something wrong. Purchased at Genesis of North Cincinnati. Do not recommend!"
